The 2707-L8P1R module is a message display module which has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as part of the MicroView DTAM Plus product line. It has a Remote I/O communication port and an RS-232 port and RS-485 port. The 2707-L8P1R message display module�s RS-232 and RS-485 ports can only be used to transfer applications, not for hosting communication options. Its screen is an LCD screen and it comes with 8 KB of memory. The 2707-L8P1R message display module uses the Remote I/O operation system.

The Allen-Bradley 2707-L8P1R is a DTAM plus operator interface module. It features an LCD display with an adjustable yellow LED backlight that handles up to 4 lines of text with 20 characters using an ASCII input type, a keypad input made up of 25 color-coded embossed sealed membrane keys with a stainless-steel dome, and 3 LED indicators. Note that the module’s display has a size of 1 x 3 inches and a character size of 0.19 x 0.12 inches. This module also has communications ports present, specifically a remote I/O port and a configurable RS-232/RS-485 port, and there is a 6-position DIP switch placed under the removable cover. Note that the 2707-L8P1R module is equipped with an 8K words of memory and has enclosure ratings of NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13 for indoor use.

It has an input voltage of 20-30V DC and a maximum current of 800 mA. The 2707-L8P1R module also comes with a 1 amp fuse and 500V port isolation each for both communication and printer ports. Its operating temperature ranges from 0-45 oC, while its non-operating temperature is from -20-85 oC.
