The Allen Bradley 2707-V40P2 comes with Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) made up of four lines, with 20 characters per each line. It is also compatible with a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) which provides high reliability and superior readability in all light conditions. The product is designed with a 40K memory that can support almost 50 or 244 screens of data and a 110 to 300 Volt DC input power. It has a display size of 1.3 x 3.9 inches and it features an ASCII input, RS-232C and RS-485 serial communication ports. The 2707-V40P2 device provides an improved functional operator interface to the two primary Allen Bradley processors such as PLC and SLC. Additionally, it comes with a proven interface that offers the user the additional flexibility and convenience that is required for monitoring and controlling data process from the plant floor. The 2707-V40P2 drive should be connected to the SLC family of processors through a DH-485 network or point-to-point modes. Alternatively, a user may be able to communicate remote I/Os through a 1747-SN scanner. The PLC-5 clan of processors is designed to communicate through remote I/O or the DF1 via channel 0 RS-232/RS-422. Screens displaying data table info will show alarm conditions and alert the user. These process data alarm screens allow the user to monitor critical parts of the information table and compare the actual data to the current limits. Once the alarm condition takes place, the user is prompted to respond instantly. Additionally, it also comes with a recede function lets the user make some modifications to the blocks of data fast. With this device, several screens can be connected as a single recipe. The Input Capacity of this unit supports the ASCII data input like barcode data via the optional RS-232 printer port. This display drive is perfect for broadband communication over the factory and warehouse floor. It comes with RS-232C, RS-485 serial ports, allowing it to interface with the PLC and SLC controller devices from the Allen Bradley family, and it has a Point-Access feature that offers perfect means to monitor and revise data files in SLC or PLC controllers.
