The 2711-K10G8 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView 1000 Terminal. This hardware has a keypad with an actuation life of one million presses, used as the operator input interface. It measures 282x 423 x 167 millimeters (11.11x 16.64 x 6.57 inches) and 211 x 158 millimeters (8.3 x 6.2 inches) display area. Moreover, the terminal has embedded DH Plus (DH+) and RS-232 ports for communication and printing. The 2711-K10G8 has a non-volatile memory of 1008 KB and RAM of 310 KB which can store data, files, and applications.

A durable and lasting NEMA Type 12/13 or 4X enclosure rated for indoor use is one of the strong suits of the 2711-K10G8. In addition, the terminal works on a wide range of input power from 85 to 264 Volts AC. It can help the operator with its vital features such as push buttons, screen selectors, information displays, alarm diagnostics, and graphics.

his PanelView 1000 boasts of the largest screen size among other PanelView Standard hardware. The 10-inch display is ideal for implementing graphic and object rich application however, it only display objects in Black and White color. The display area of this PanelView terminal is 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.) with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

The 2711-K10G8 comes with a set of keypads that performs specific and variable functions. It is composed of functions keys from F1 to F16, numeric input, directional buttons and confirmation keys. Only the function keys are fully programmable which support local and global assignment.

This operator terminal sends and receives process commands and data via the Data Highway Plus (DH+) communication protocol which is supported by the embedded communication port of the device. Compatible communication cable to implement DH+ connection is a 3-wire conductor with catalog number 1770-CD or Belden 9463. It also has a secondary communication port that is used to interface with alarm and events printer. Supported transmission speed of the printer port are 1200, 2400, 9600, 19,200 Kbps. The 2711-K10G8 is powered by an external AC power supply with Voltage requirement of 84-265VAC, 47-63Hz.
