The Allen-Bradley 2711-T10C8L1 is a PanelView Standard operator terminal. This operator terminal is commonly called as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) with the primary purpose of linking data and logic within a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), display the data via a custom designed interface and permit control via the provided input interface.

The 2711-T10C8L1 provides process visualization via the provided Active Matrix Thin-Film Resistor (TFT) with Cold Cathode Fluorescent (CCF) Backlight. This HMI screen has an effective display area of 211 x 158 mm (8.3 x 6.2 in.), resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Embedded within the HMI screen are individual touch cells with size of 26 x 30 pixels and distributed in 24 columns x 16 rows.

The 2711-T10C8L1 communicate with partner controllers and devices via the built-in Data Highway Plus (DH+) protocol. This communication protocol is a legacy protocol that is based in RS485 topology. It allows multi-node communication over long distances. Additionally. This operator terminal has One (1) RS232 communication port that is mainly used for communicating with alarm and event printer for documentation and historization.

This operator terminal is powered by a nominal 24VDC power supply with applicable range of 18-32VDC. For industrially approved installation and maximize the unit’s lifespan, install the hardware in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 or any equivalent rated enclosures. Create a panel cut-out according to the cut-out template shipped with the terminal and install the hardware flush mounted to the panel.
