The Allen-Bradley 1400ELCK15 is a 14-inch keypad PanelView 1400E Operator Terminal. The terminal is used to graphically present industrial processes controlled by PLCs on a color display. This device is also enhanced with a ControlNet communication option integrated into the terminal. The users do not need any additional hardware to install or connect to ControlNet networks. It has a stud mount and a NEMA 4X enclosure, which means that this panel is intended only for indoor use. The 1400ELCK15 terminal supports a keyboard and a barcode reader. Both of them can be connected to the terminal’s keyboard port. When the device is delivered from the factory, this keyboard port is concealed with a white label, so the users need to remove it to expose the keyboard connecting point.
The Allen-Bradley 1400ELCK15 keypad terminal has a numeric keypad, special keys, and 21 function keys which are ready for the users to program for their purposes. Each of these keys can be programmed to perform actions such as changing screens or turning digital outputs on or off. Furthermore, these keys will execute different tasks when users are positioned on different control screens. The users will need to establish a serial connection from the PC to the RS-232 port located on the back side of the operator panel by using the appropriate serial cable. This is the only way to download a program to the device. The device has 2 operating voltages, including 115 Volts AC at 60 Hertz and 230 Volts AC at 50 Hertz.
