The Allen-Bradley 1400ELKC6 is a 1400E Series PanelView Operator Panel. This model was produced at the end of the 1980’s and it was a state-of-the-art operator panel at that time. The 1400ELKC6 is a representative of the 1400E Allen-Bradley series terminals that were built to provide a flexible and low-cost operator interface for industrial PLC systems. This is a keypad terminal that has 21 user-definable blue-colored function keys marked from F1 to F21. There is also a keypad for entering numeric values, and there are special keys like arrows and the Home, Select, Cancel, Enter, and Backspace keys.



The Allen-Bradley 1400ELKC6 has 128K of static RAM that is backed up with a battery. This memory stores the terminal configuration parameters and it is also responsible for alarm status and history storage. The terminal is also equipped with 1. In the end, it supports PCMCIA memory card that can increase application file storage space to up to 15.75 MB. The 1400ELKC6 PanelView terminal can be connected to Allen-Bradley’s 1771 Remote I/O, and it can show the data received from almost all Allen-Bradley PLCs and even from certain IBM computers. On the back side of the panel, the users will find green connectors for 115 Volts or 230 Volts AC power supplies. There are also alarm contacts (NO/NC) that are 250 Volts AC and 16 Amps rated.
