About 2711-K5A15L1

This Panelview 550, the 2711-K5A15L1, is an Allen-Bradley manufactured Panelview with a keypad type input. This module runs PanelBuilder 32 software which can also be run on a personal computer and is powered by an input voltage of 18 to 30 Volts DC, or 24 Volts DC nominally. This unit’s stainless steel keypad is comprised of 10 total function keys maked F1 through F10 with a domed membrane effect, along with an additional, smaller numeric keypad for greater input flexibility. This unit’s display area is a small 120 x 60 millimeter screen with an LCD monochrome display in blue. The unit’s LED backlight will, on average, last for about 100,000 hours before it requires replacement; when this backlight does eventually need to be replaced, a replacement part can be ordered with the number  2711-NL1. In addition to a keypad input, a display screen, and an LED backlight, the 2711-K5A15L1 features a time-stamping battery clock in real time. This clock will mark all important information with a date and time, allowing the user to keep track of all the data being inputted.

The 2711-K5A15L1 supports an ATA card for additional memory to supplement its 170-kilobyte application runtime and a 240 kilobyte nonvolatile RAM memory. It contains a ControlNet port and an RS-232 printer port, although a 2711-NC13 communication cable or cables are required for connection to the network through said ports. This unit is commonly found to support the series A through H and is generally up to date with firmware revisions of 1.00 up to 4.48. At its maximum power consumption, the 2711-K5A15L1 uses around 18 Watts (0.75 A at 24 Volts DC, nominal). It has a number of certifications, including UL508, UL1604 Class 1, Div 2, Groups A through D and T4, and EN61000-6-2:1999.The 2711-K5A15L1 has an approximate weight of 2.7 pounds, with a size roughly around 7 x 10 x 4 inches. The maximum temperature in which this Panelview should be operated is 131 degrees Fahrenheit, with the minimum being 32, or freezing point. While in storage, the surrounding temperature should be monitored to stay in a -4 to 158 degree Fahrenheit zone. To remain fully function, the 2711-K5A15L1 should not be mounted at an altitude greater than 6561 feet, and should not be subjected to a shock greater than 30 g while operating or 50 g while non-operational. This module is rated for a NEMA Type 12, 12, IEC IP45, or IP65 enclosure. Additionally, a NEMA Type 4X enclosure may be used exclusively for the indoor use of the module.
