About 2711-K5A20L1

The obsolete 2711-K5A20L1 Allen Bradley Panelview 550 is an operator terminal allowing users to interface with their machines. Lightweight and easy to use, the Panelview features a Monochrome LCD blue mode display and a keypad with function (F1-F10), numeric entry, and cursor keys allowing for input of information and commands. It possesses 170 KB application runtime internal memory.  On the back of the terminal lie COMM and FAULT Status indicators, which glow green and red respectively.

The former indicates when communication is occurring, and the latter when there is an error with the firmware or hardware. An Ethernet/IP Communication Port, RS-232 Printer Port, Standard Ethernet Communication cable, memory card slot, and spare bulb holder are also located on the back, along with a cover that supplies access to the replaceable backlight lamp. This internal backlight illuminates the LCD display by conveying light through a fiber-optic bundle, and its replacement part number is 2711-NL1.

The most common firmware types for the Panelview are 1.00-4.48. The 2711-K5A20L1 takes 24V DC power and can be mounted via the sealing gasket lacing the backside of the terminal. To complement its impressive features, the Panelview 550 is small and easy to ship, with a convenient 6 lbs weight and 14 x 11 x 18 in dimensions. Its most common series are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H.
