The Allen-Bradley 2711-NL1 PanelView Standard operator terminal is a replacement backlight for the PanelView Standard 550 operator interface terminals. This replacement backlight assembly is compatible with all of the PanelView 550 terminals, including all the Series A through Series G terminals. The PanelView 550 Standard terminals are supplied as keypad, touchscreen, and keypad and touchscreen combination monochrome-graphics display terminals to meet different application needs. The PanelView 550 keypad and keypad/touchscreen terminals offer 5.5-inch (diagonal) displays with functional, numerical, navigational, and special keys. The touchscreen terminals offer a 30% size reduction and 128 touch cells in addition to the standard PanelView 550 terminal features.

The PanelView 550 terminals are available in 120 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC power ratings (touch only terminals), and they offer flexible communication options such as the DeviceNet, ControlNet, Data Highways Plus (DH+), DH-485, RS-232 (DH-485 protocol), PROFIBUS, and MODBUS communication protocols. The 2711-NL1 replacement backlight belongs to the Allen-Bradley PanelView standard accessory product line, and it is supplied as an assembly that comprises an halogen bulb, a lens assembly, a lamp holder assembly, and a fiber-optic bundle. The 2711-NL1 backlight is well-suited for the PanelView 550 LCD screen. The backlight has 50,000 hours of half-life when it is used at half brightness and at 25 degrees Celsius. The 2711-NL1 backlight can be installed with the following steps: disconnect the power from the terminal, remove the cover on the back of the terminal, detach the connecting cable from the old bulb, install the new bulb, and reconnect the cable and access cover.
