The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A15L1 is an Allen Bradley visualization component from the Bulletin 2711 PanelView Standard Operator Terminals. This operator terminal is specifically part of the PanelView 550 operator terminals that functions as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device, typically used in different industrial applications such as Water, Waste Water, HVAC, Power monitoring and other applications. When installing this operator terminal, the required minimum installation depth is 64 mm (2.54 in.). If installed with a memory card retainer, the required depth is 109 mm (4.30 in.); and 188 mm (7.40 in.) with memory card retainer and clearance to insert and remove memory card.

The 2711-T5A15L1 feature a 5.5-inch display screen that may be configured to display runtime objects and depict status of the plant operation, instrument and device using pop-ups and informational messages. Additionally, it can be used to easily identify severity of alarms and events. The screen is embedded with touch sensitive cells, enabling touch operator input capability for direct interaction with runtime objects published during the runtime interface. The 2711-T5A15L1 is capable of sending and receiving signals to and from Allen-Bradley controllers such as PLC5, SLC500, MicroLogix controllers via the built-in ControlNet communication port. The ControlNet protocol is a copper-based communication network, using coaxial cable as the physical layer. It can implement communication exchange over long distance between one or more controllers in single or redundant modes. The 2711-T5A15L1 supports linear topology. It also has an RS232 port for interfacing with alarm and events printer, allowing documentation for historization of data. The 2711-T5A15L1 is powered by an external supply voltage of 18-32VDC with nominal value of 24VDC.
