The 2711-K6C2 display panel is a PanelView 600 series display panel manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This operator terminal has a DH485 communication port can be used along with a 1747-UIC communication cable. The display terminal lets users monitor, control, and view status information graphically. The 2711-K6C2 display panel has a color display which is 5 inches wide and has a resolution of 320 x 240. The display panel is powered with AC power in the range of 85 to 264 Volts AC. The display terminal has an internal memory size of 240 KB non-volatile memory and 190KB Random Access Memory (RAM). The display panel weighs 6 pounds and it has dimensions of 14 x 11 x 8 inches.

The 2711-K6C2 has a field replaceable backlight rated at 50,000 hours of half-life if the display panel is maintained at 25 degrees Celsius. The integrated keypad in the display is a stainless-steel domed membrane with navigation, function, and power keys that can take 2 million presses. The 2711-K6C2 display panel has 10 function keys that are used for different commonly-used functions. The battery used this display panel variant is field-replaceable. The display comes with 190 KB of application runtime memory and 240 KB of non-volatile memory for application objects and text and bitmaps. The display panel does not support an ATA memory card.

The 2711-K6C2 features a multiple number of fully programmable keypad. This keypad assembly is composed of Ten (10) function keys, a numeric keypad set and navigation buttons for selection of objects.

The display screen is a 5-inch colored screen which allow users to view the process in a more detailed manner. The colored screen allows implementation of color-coded animation which may be used to depict plant and device status, as well as provide information such as alarm severity and event criticality. The screen has a display size of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.) and resolution of 320 x 234. It is built with an internal backlight that is designed to operate up to 50,000 hrs.

An integrated DH485 communication may be used to communicate with qualified partner devices, typically Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Gateways and Converters. This communication protocol is especially designed for factory floor communication.

The 2711-K6C2 is approved for Class I Division II process areas and recommended for installation in a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54 and IP65 rated enclosure.
