The Allen-Bradley 2711-T6C5 is an interface panel belonging to the PanelView Terminal 600 series. The terminal utilizes an HMI display screen with a diagonal measurement of 5 inches. It weighs 4 pounds and measures 14x11x8 inches with a colored display screen. Connection to the network is possible with an RS-232 port (through DH-485 protocol), using a 2711-NC13 communication cable to utilize PanelBuilder 32 software.
The touchscreen enables the operator’s control of the terminal or HMI. A built-in keypad with keys ranging from F1 to F10 allows easier user access. The operator inputs values into the HMI using the given keys. An alternating current (Volts AC) of between 85 and 264 Volts powers the whole unit.
Internal memory is limited to 240 KB. To replace the unit's internal backlight, refer to part number 2711-NL3. The DH-485 protocol must be followed when connecting the RS-232 terminal or operator to the network, which is controlled by SLC 500 and MicroLogix. The most common Series are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L and the most common firmware include 1.00-4.48.
A point-to-point configuration separates data according to priority. An AIC+ module enables the HMI to connect to the network; use of an Ethernet cable will allow the operator to upload or download files from the DH-485 network using the PanelBuilder 32 software. Alternatively, an RS-232 printer port can enable file exchange using the standard port or a memory PC card.Technical specifications:
