The 2711-T6C5L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that is mainly used to integrate, collect and display data from controllers to the device’ embedded colored display and allow control and modification of process variables. This operator terminals comes with a rugged and scalable body, compatible for use in a wide variety of industrial applications.
This HMI device comes with electronic components that are sensitive to electromagnetic interference. It requires mounting to an enclosure rated NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54, IP65. It may be installed with enclosure climate control devices such as heater and cooler to maintain the require operating temperature of 0…50 ° C (32…122 ° F). In addition to proper installation of the 2711-T6C5L1, it must be installed following the recommended mounting clearance of 25mm for both sides and top while 38 mm is required for the bottom part. This clearance will help ensure adequate air flow going to the device for natural cooling purposes. Additionally, the 2711-T6C5L1 PanelView operator terminal must be installed in a location with a vibration and shock not exceeding 2 g up to 2,000 Hz and 15 g respectively.

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T6C5L1 is a 24 Volts DC power supplied device that consumes around 24 Watts of energy. This operator panel accepts a memory card which is used to store applications. It uses the RS-232 (DH-485) serial port for communication with PLCs (such as the SLC 500 and MicroLogix controllers) and other intelligent devices in industrial automation networks. The device has a COMM light indicator in the back to show when communication is occurring. The 2711-T6C5L1 PanelView 600 panel supports an alarm list queue to collect information on triggered alarms. It can store up to 100 alarms in the non-volatile RAM. A point-to-point configuration may be used to separate data according to the priority level. Alternatively, an AIC+ module can serve as a conduit for connection to the DH-485 network.
