The Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A15L1 is a DC version of the PV900M device that is a member of the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 2711 PanelView series of standard operator terminals. It comes with a 24V DC nominal input rating with supply voltage limits of 18-30V DC. The 2711-K9A15L1 has a maximum 58 W (2.5 A) power consumption. This 9-inch monochromatic display has an AC Plasma-type screen made up of 640 x 400 pixels. The PanelView 2711-K9A15L1 Monochrome Terminal allows the user to control processes and input information via its cursor keys, its user-defined function keys, and its 14-key main keypad with enter, backspace, decimal point, plus, minus, and numeric keys. It features an RS-232 port that connects to any printer supporting the IBM enhanced character set. The ControlNet communication port links with a PLC-5 or ControlLogix controller (with 1756-CNB module) over a ControlNet network. In the Configuration Mode menu, only the Node Address and the Underscan Delay settings can be changed on the ControlNet screen. Memory cards can be used to transfer PanelView application files to or from the 2711-K9A15L1 Terminal. This PV900M terminal ships with a compatible memory card retainer that is used for permanently installing a memory card with font and/or application files to the terminal. It has retainers that protect against electric shock from loose high-voltage wires within an enclosure. When mounting the 2711-K9A15L1 on a panel or in an enclosure, ensure enough clearance at the back to accommodate the retainer and promote adequate ventilation for the ideal ambient operating temperature.

The user is able to control the HMI using the keypad to input information and data. This unit is powered using 24 VDC power. This unit has a 1008 KB internal memory, but the backlight is not replaceable. The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 8 lbs. and 18 x 14 x 8 in, respectively. The ControlNet terminals can connect to a single or multiple controllers on a ControlNet network and these support scheduled and unscheduled access to controller data and redundant cabling. The ControlNet terminals support symbolic CIP addressing when communicating with a ControlLogix system and every terminal features a Network Access port for local access to the ControlNet network.
