The Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A16 is a PV900M product in the Bulletin 2711 series of PanelView operator terminals. This human-machine interface (HMI) makes monitoring an industrial system information easy. It features a 9-inch monochromatic display, an AC-rating, a keypad input, an RS-232 (DF1) communication port, and an RS-232 printer port. The 2711-K9A16 Monochrome Keypad Terminal allows the user to input data via the 14-keys keypad that includes numeric, cursor, and function keys. This keypad is on the right side of the AC plasma screen with a 640 x 400-pixel resolution. These applications replace the functions of a control panel by using logically arranged screens with control lists, data entry objects, and indicators. When transferred to a PV900M terminal, the files are in a .PVA format. The 2711-K9A16 is designed for indoor use and is rated safe when installed in a NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X IP54 or IP65 enclosure. It connects with a 120V AC input power source with a supply voltage rating between 85 and 264V AC at 47-63 Hz.
The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 8 lbs. and 18 x 14 x 8 in, respectively. The RS-232 (DH-485 protocol) Terminal connects to MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers using DH-485 protocol. The point-to-point configuration provides a separate connection for high-priority data.
