The Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A5 is a PanelView 600 operator terminal that features a Monochrome AC gas Plasma display, embedded RS232 that supports DH485 communication and keypad input interface. This PanelView terminal is primarily used for implementing Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution in the factory floor. This device is part of the early versions of visualization components made by Allen-Bradley that is now declared as an obsolete product.

The 2711-K9A5 comes with a 9-inch Monochrome display used to provide process readout and graphics that mimic the control points of the process or machine. It comes with an assembly of Sixteen (16) Function Keys, numeric and navigation keypad that is installed in the front panel. The keypads may be operated up to 1 million actuation and may be installed with a function key legend insert accessory.

The 2711-K9A5 comes with an integrated primary RS232 port that may be made to communicate with DH485 protocol. This is designed for peer-to-peer communication and may also be used in networked topologies when used with 1761-NET-AIC. This external converter enables the HMI to communicate to a larger network of DH485 in multi-mode architecture.

The 2711-K9A5 requires a power supply voltage range of 85-264V AC along a frequency range of 47-63 Hz. The 2711-K9A5 may only be installed in horizontal orientation as it does not feature an auto-rotate functionality.

The PV900M 2711-K9A5 is AC-rated with a supply voltage between 85 and 264V AC at 47-63 Hz with a maximum power consumption of 110 VA. It needs a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X IP54, or IP65 enclosure which is made for indoor use only. Its dimensions measure 9.8 x 15.97 x 4.4 inches. Its installed depth should be 8.65 inches to accommodate the memory card retainer and have enough clearance for memory card insertion.

The user is able to control the HMI using the Keypad to input information and data. This unit is powered using 120 VAC power. This unit's internal backlight replacement is non-replaceable.
