About 2711-K9A5

The Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A5 is a 9-inch monochrome keypad operator input module that provides an interface to the logic controller. It is a member of the PV900 series of PanelView Operator Terminals. It comes with a durable AC gas plasma display. Its RS-232 (DH-485) communication port connects to a DH-485 network, SLC, MicroLogix controller, or Wallmount power supply. This can also be used for transferring applications by connecting with the RS-232 serial port of a computer.
The 2711-K9A5 Monochrome Terminal comes with 1008KB (application screens) of memory. It has a keypad designed for finger operation – bare or gloved. The F1-F16 function keys are used to initiate tasks and operations on the terminal display. The user can input numeric values, including negative values and decimals, with the numeric entry keys. The cursor keys move the cursor for entering the configuration mode and selecting the entry object from the displayed lists. The PV900M requires Panelbuilder 32 software– a Windows program for developing PanelView applications on a computer.
The PV900M 2711-K9A5 is AC-rated with a supply voltage between 85 and 264V AC at 47-63 Hz with a maximum power consumption of 110 VA. It needs a NEMA Type 12/13, 4X IP54, or IP65 enclosure which is made for indoor use only. Its dimensions measure 9.8 x 15.97 x 4.4 inches. Its installed depth should be 8.65 inches to accommodate the memory card retainer and have enough clearance for memory card insertion.

The discontinued Allen Bradley Panelview 900 2711-K9A5 allows the user to connect to other devices using Panelbuilder 32 software and an RS-232 (DH-485) communication port with a 2711-NC14 communication cable. The user is able to control the HMI using the Keypad to input information and data. This unit is powered using 120 VAC power. This unit's internal backlight replacement is non-replaceable. The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 8 lbs. and 18 x 14 x 8 in., respectively. The most common Series are: A, B, C, D, E, F and the most common firmware includes versions 1.00-4.48. The RS-232 (DH-485 protocol) The module connects to MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers using the DH-485 protocol. The point-to-point configuration provides a separate connection for high-priority data.
