About 2711-K9C3

The 2711-K9C3 is an obsolete Allen-Bradley PanelView 900 Graphics Terminal. It is used in most monitoring and machine control applications except for critical functions like stopping in an emergency. The 2711-K9C3 offers pixel graphics and uses common development software for simplifying the programming process.
The 2711-K9C3 is a human-machine interface (HMI) device that has a 9-inch keypad with navigation buttons and a color display. The keypad also has a stainless-steel bezel with 16 function keys. The terminal supports 32 standard colors and has a 640 x 480 resolution. It has dimensions of 18 x 14 x 8 in. and weighs 8.2 lbs. The 2711-K9C3 has a 1008-KB nonvolatile memory, a 310-KB RAM, and 85 - 264V AC input voltage. For communication, it has a DH-485 port for uploading or downloading applications. Its PanelBuilder32 software allows this terminal to reuse and convert existing applications. The 2711-K9C3 is 32-bit and runs on the Windows 2000, ME, XP, or Vista operating system. This Panelview allows the user to connect using Panelbuilder 32 software and a DH-485 and RS-232 Printer communication port with a 1747-UIC communication cable(s).  The DH-485 terminals are capable of point-to-point communication with a single SLC 500 or MicroLogix controller. There is also system communication with multiple processors over the DH-485 network. Direct data table access via DH-485 minimizes the need for additional ladder logic. Application files are easily downloaded or uploaded directly via the DH-485 programming port, through PanelBuilder32 on the DH-485 network, or with a PC memory card.
The 2711-K9C3 terminal has custom applications for easy use. It supports advanced alarm handling to store information and it is equipped with an RS-232 port for online printing. It supports various universal languages, and its other features include screen security, analog gauges, and memory card support for better control. The 2711-K9C3 has various ports for connecting to a scanner, PLC, SLC, or Logix controllers. It has a red LED indicator for firmware and hardware faults and it has a green one for communication.
