The 2711P-K15C15D1 is a panel view display keypad from Allen Bradley and it is from the PanelView Plus 1500 family of Allen Bradley. The 2711P-K15C15D1 has a keypad for input and has a 15-inch color display screen, although this screen is not a touchscreen. This module operates on DC power and has a logic module of 64 MB. It supports ControlNet communication via the ControlNet port. The input DC voltage requirement is 24 Volts DC and the keys on the keypad are user programmable and can be operated for finger or gloved operation. There are multiple keys on the keypad, which include the function keys (F1 to F20 and K1 to K20) and some additional numeric keys, as well as a set of navigation keys. While in operation, the 2711P-K15C15D1 may generate heat, making it necessary to ensure proper ventilation for the device, so that this device may reach its full life expectancy. During installation, the user should leave adequate clearance in order to allow ventilation, which will allow the module to operate at an ambient temperature that remains between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. The minimum clearance from the top and the bottom of the module should be at minimum 51 millimeters, while 25 millimeters should be left clear from the from the side and the back. The cutout size for this module should be around 305 millimeters in height and 419 in width.

The 2711P-K15C15D1 itself, however, measures 330 millimeters in height, 469 millimeters in width, and 93 millimeters in depth (when used along with the communication module). When installing the 2711P-K15C15D1, panel cutout tools, a small slotted screwdriver, and a torque wrench for tightening the mounting clips on the terminal are all required. After the installation process is complete, make sure that all the connections are secure and made as recommended by the manufacturer before turning the device on. Finally, make sure to follow the safety requirements, which including the device being connected to a supply with proper grounding, in order to avoid electric shocks.
