The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T15C6B1 terminal is a PanelView Plus 1500 terminal created with a touchscreen input and a 15-inch color display type. It has DC/AC input power, 64 MB features, communication ports labeled DH+/RIO/DH-485, and the Factory Talk software. The thing to note with the 2711P-T15C6B1 terminal is that after purchase if the components are ordered separately, connect the logic module and the communication component to the display component prior to panel installation. The logic component for the terminals is obtainable with or without RAM and CompactFlash before installation. If the memory is ordered separately, the user is supposed to install it before connecting the logic component to the display component.
For the power connections on the 2711P-T15C6B1 with DC power, the PanelView Plus gadget has an assimilated 24 Volts DC power supply. The two of them are isolated and non-isolated power supplies with these type of ratings are 24 Volts DC nominal (18 to 32 Volts DC) and 70 W maximum (2.9 Amps at 24 Volts DC). The power supply is internally protected against the reverse polarity of the DC +VE and DC –VE links. Linking negative or positive DC to the ground may destroy the 2711P-T15C6B1. For the supply of external power for DC terminals that are not isolated, utilize only the 24 Volts DC power supply to power every PanelView Plus gadget. With a separate, ungrounded, and isolated source intended for power, every terminal thwarts ground loop flows from destroying the terminals. So, the output linked to the power flow is supposed to be insulated from the one coming in and not linked to the ground.
