2711P-RPD

The 2711P-RPD is an accessory module that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This module is specifically a logic module that is used with the PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE modules however, cannot be used with the newer PanelView Plus 6 operator terminals. The 2711P-RPD comes with an isolated DC input and a marine-certified component. This Logic module accepts a nominal input voltage of 24 VDC which is used to power up the circuitries of the operator terminal. This component does not come pre-installed with internal CompactFlash cards therefore, users may need to transfer an existing working CompactFlash memory or separately acquire an internal CompactFlash card. Aside from the internal memory, the 2711P-RPD also hosts the base communication ports such as RS232 and USB ports of the operator terminal. This logic module is located at the back of the display module and must be mounted only when power is completely removed to the terminal. This logic module requires appropriate and careful handling as it hosts electrostatic-sensitive components. Wear ground straps and always work on a flat, clean, grounded surface to protect the logic module and internal components.

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RPD is an isolated-DC logic module for PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE 700 to 1500 terminals. It is marine-certified for heavy-duty applications. The 2711P-RPD is not designed for use with PanelView Plus 6 terminals. A separate display module is required to provide a display for the terminal. If logic and display modules are ordered separately, the 2711P-RPD should be attached to the display module before panel installation. The 2711P-RPD does not include Flash or RAM memory. The Flash and RAM memory modules need to be ordered separately and installed in the module before they can be used for custom applications. The 2711P-RPD includes one CompactFlash slot, a 10/100 Ethernet LAN port, two USB ports, and one serial port. A 24 Volts DC power supply with SELV or PELV output is required to power up the 2711P-RPD. The range of acceptable input voltages is from 18 to 32 Volts DC. The typical power consumption is 39 Watts whereas the maximum power consumption is 70 Watts. An AC-to-DC power supply with SELV output can also be used to power up the 2711P-RPD from an AC power source. A 14 to 10 AWG stranded or solid copper wire should be used to connect the earth terminal to low-impedance ground. The 2711P-RPD requires a line filter for marine applications. The operating temperature range for the 2711P-RPD is from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The operating relative humidity range is from 5 to 95%. The operating and non-operating shock ratings are 15G at 11 milliseconds and 30G at 11 milliseconds, respectively.
