The Allen-Bradley 2711P-K7C15A6 PanelView Plus Terminal is an obsolete model that has been replaced by the newer generation 2711P-K7C4A9 PanelView Plus 6 Terminal. However, it is still sold by the Allen-Bradley company and it is used for applications that control, monitor and display status information graphically. The 2711P-K7C15A6 has a 6.5-inch color active-matrix display with a keypad input that contains numeric, navigation, and function keys. The native resolution is 640 x 480 pixels with 18-bit color graphics. The 2711P-K7C15A6 has 128 MB of RAM and 128 MB of nonvolatile memory for user storage. It measures 14 x 11 x 8 in. and weighs 8 lbs. It runs on an input voltage of 100 - 240V AC, 50 – 60 Hz with 160 VA for maximum power consumption. The Ethernet and RS-232 serial ports make communication with optional DH-485, DH+, and ControlNet modules efficient. The 2711P-K7C15A6 also comes with 2 USB ports for connecting external devices. The ControlNet terminals can connect to a single or multiple controllers on a ControlNet network. They support scheduled and unscheduled access to controller data. They also support redundant cabling. The ControlNet terminals support symbolic CIP addressing when communicating with a ControlLogix system. Every terminal features a Network Access port for local access to the ControlNet network. It also supports SD cards for data backup and a real-time clock for timestamping critical data. The 2711P-K7C15A6 can be panel-mounted with NEMA, UL or IP-rated enclosures. The most common Series are Series A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
