The 2711P-RDB7C is a PanelView Plus component. This unit is a display and serves as a replacement unit to any functioning PanelView Plus 700 and PanelView Plus 700 operator terminals. This display module hosts the input interfaces as well as the 7-inch display screen.

The 2711P-RDB7C display module provides the visualization area of the machine or process being monitored and controlled. The visualization of this display module specifically measures 6.5-inch, diagonal, with display area of 132 x 99 mm or 5.2 x 3.9 inches while also having a pixel resolution of 640 x 480 supporting 18-bit colored graphics. This display module also provides the operator input interfaces through the embedded analog resistive touch sensitive screen with expected operational life of 1 million presses. Similarly, it holds the stainless-steel domed membrane keypad assembly that is composed of function keys, navigation keys, numeric and confirmation buttons. This same keypad assembly is also designed to be operated up to 1 million presses.

The 2711P-RDB7C display module has the typical certifications as to any display modules intended for the PanelView Plus 700 and PanelView Plus 6 700 operator terminals. It may be installed in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D / Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC / Class II, Division 2, Groups F, G / Class III and (ordinary) non-hazardous identified installation locations. It has a temperature code of T4 and may be operated at 55 °C (131 °F) maximum ambient temperature.

The display module is one of the basic components of a PanelView Plus operator terminal. It is commonly paired to a logic module to form a fully-functional operator terminal.

It can be configured as an open system for desktop access. For communication with other machines, an Ethernet port and RS-232 ports or USB ports are provided. The 2711P-RDB7C display module has many new features like increased processor speed, system memory, storage space, and illumination power compared to previous Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus display modules. It has a built-in PDF viewer for reading content documents and a mechanism for backing up data. This display module uses vector-based graphics and it provides easy data management through CSV files. With the login feature, the 2711P-RDB7C display module facilitates data storage and modification.
