The Control Techniques UD71 serves as a plugin communications interface option module for Unidrive systems. This module features an RS485 communication port, providing versatility in data exchange. The supported communication data rates can be adjusted between 4800 bits per second and 19200 bits per second, allowing for adaptability based on system requirements.
With a maximum cable length of 1200 meters, the UD71 can extend communication significantly across vast setups. This module is tailored to be compatible with Unidrive Classic, facilitating integration into existing systems where needed. Each link can accommodate the connection of up to 15 drives without requiring additional repeaters.
Temperature ratings for operation fall between 0 and 60 °C, while the storage temperature can be as low as -25 °C and as high as 70 °C, ensuring functionality across a range of environments. Installation humidity must remain within 10 to 95% RH during operation (no condensation), while the module can withstand storage humidity levels of 5 to 95% RH without condensation. Additionally, it provides an RS232 PC programming port for ease of configuration.
