The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HVX010A1-4A1B1 is an adjustable frequency drive that is part of the HVX9000 series that comes with a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, a three-phase EMC H input, an internal brake chopper circuit, and standard boards. This controller, with a frame size of FR5, also features an alphanumeric display with a backlight and keypad input that is equipped with a HAND/OFF/AUTO selector for the drive’s mode of operation, a DRIVE/BYPASS selector, 2 control source indicators, 9 pushbuttons, and 9 status indicators specifically for the drive’s RUN status. Note that the display installed is specifically for the RUN status of the HVX010A1-4A1B1 drive. This drive is also capable of simultaneously monitoring and displaying up to three parameters.

The voltage rating of this drive is 380 to 500V and its nominal voltage is 480V and HP rating is 10. It also comes with a -15% and +10% input voltage tolerance, as well as a 0 to the rated input voltage output voltage range. The frequencies of the HVX010A1-4A1B1 drive are 50/60 Hz for the input and with a variation of 45 to 66 Hz and 0 to 320 Hz for the output. This drive also has a 0.1 Hz frequency resolution and should only operate at -10 to 40 °C temperature ranges. The applications suitable for this drive include those that require an HVAC, pump, and fluid control. The HVX010A1-4A1B1 drive also features two control methods, which are frequency vector control (V/f) open loop control, and sensorless vector control.
