The S801T18P3S soft motor starter is a high-performance industrial class soft starter from the Eaton Cutler-Hammer S801 series of reduced voltage soft motor starters that are designed to provide smooth starting and stopping to 3-phase industrial motors. The S801T18P3S motor starter features programmable overload protection and a run bypass for advanced motor protection, and it has a compact design which allows for quick and easy field installation and programming processes. The S801T18P3S motor starter has a current rating of 180 Amps, with 60 Horsepower normal-duty output power rating at 40 degrees Celsius, and it has an acceptable voltage range of 200 to 600 Volts AC. This soft starter has an impulse voltage tolerance rating of 6000 Volts AC and an insulation voltage rating of 660 Volts AC.

The S801T18P3S motor starter has a standard ramp range of 0.5 to 180 seconds, and a programmed overload setting of 30 to 100%. With a variety of adjustable start modes to select from, the S801T18P3S motor starter offers adjustable initial torque from 0 to 85% of the locked rotor torque, and when an extended coast to rest stop is required, the users can select the soft stop mode to prevent the damages that may result from a sudden stop. The S801T18P3S motor starter also has pump control option that is suitable for pumping applications where smooth transition stopping is required and this eliminates the “water hammer” effect that can damage pipes, valves, and pumps. The S801T18P3S motor starter has 3-pole wiring and a lead add-on lug kit connectors, and it comes with a 24 Volts DC control that provides additional safety features. The S801T18P3S motor starter has a designated operating temperature range of –30 to 50 degrees Celsius, and it is designed to withstand 15G of operating shock.
