The SPX600A0-4A2N1 is an adjustable frequency 3-phase AC drive manufactured by Eaton. It stands out in the market with its robust and modular design, wide operating temperature range, and proven 500,000-hour MTBF. The Eaton SPX600A0-4A2N1 drive controls the speed of an AC motor by controlling the frequency (0 to 320 Hertz) that is delivered to the motor. Eaton Cutler-Hammer has developed innovative mathematical procedures and implements the very latest hardware technology in this drive to use open-loop sensorless vector control that ensures outstanding motor speed control with a simple keypad interface. All the internal algorithms are quickly processed with increased micro-processing power (4 times more CPU capability than previous drives). The SPX600A0-4A2N1 drive has 2 high-resolution analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, 1 digital output, 1 analog output, and 2 relay outputs. Additional I/O cards can be installed in 1 of the 5 available slots. All the optional communication, feedback, and I/O cards have plug-and-play functionality.

The SPX600A0-4A2N1 drive is engineered to be powered with 380 to 500 Volts AC voltage and to produce 600 Horsepower of output power that can move large motors in heavy-duty applications. The drive is manufactured in compliance with the European Community (EC) EMC directives and it is highly immune to electrical noise. This adjustable frequency AC drive can handle 820 Amps rated motors. It is delivered in an open housing that makes drive cooling easier. The SPX600A0-4A2N1 drive, like all SPX9000 series drives, supports an incorporated data logger functionality and a fast drive-to-drive communication option.
