The Allen-Bradley SVX015A1-2A1B1 is an adjustable frequency drive that is part of open drives family. It has a horsepower rating of 15 HP and it uses a standard AFD software series. The drive has a NEMA Type 1 enclosure. It has an alphanumeric keypad type and it also runs on a voltage of 230V AC. The drive has a 3-phase, EMC H input option. This drive provides modular solution variable speed applications with sophisticated ASIC features, with sensorless vector control technology, and with an adaptive motor. The SVX015A1-2A1B1 has the capability to automatically identify motor parameters for the U/f control mode and for the sensorless vector control mode while recording changes in the parameters over time. The vector control works in a stator flux coordinates system. This system is immune to small variations in motor parameters and measurements. The sensorless vector control can achieve dynamic precision in closed loop control over a variety of speed ranges including low ripple in the torque, in a torque rise time of less than 10 ms that is suitable for multi-motor drive systems, steady-state speed error of less than 0.5%, and high starting current.

The SVX015A1-2A1B1 drive has been designed to be used on a normal three-phase power supply. It can, however, be used on single-phase power supplies though this is subject to limitations. For the single-phase motors to be used, it needs to be the same magnitude as the three-phase voltage. Additional capacitance kits also need to be added as required. The input impedance should also be checked so to make sure that it is greater than 5%.
