The SVX040A1-4A1N1 is an Adjustable Frequency AC drive manufactured by the Cutler-Hammer division of Eaton Corporation. This is a 40 Horsepower AC drive that belongs to 9000X AF drive family and it is designed to work with 3-phase motors exclusively, rated for a 380 to 500 Volt AC voltage and up to 61 Amperes. The output frequency of this module can be programmed for up to 320 Hertz. Power, motor, DC, and break terminals are all provided on the SVX040A1-4A1N1 adjustable frequency AC drive and it has integrated two basic boards (A2 and A9; the A9 board has two analog inputs at 0 to 10 Volt DC or 4 to 20 mA, 6 digital inputs at 24 Volts DC, one analog output at 0 to 10 Volts DC or 4 to 20 mA, and 1 digital output that is an open collector with a maximum current of 50 mA. This board has 4 jumper blocks (X1, X2, X3, and X6) for analog inputs, outputs, and grounding settings while the A2 board has two relays, a NO/NC selectable with 24 Volt DC/8A, 250 Volt AC/8A, and 125 Volt DC/0.4A switching capacities. The HMI (Human Machine Interface) on this drive has an LCD display with an alphanumeric keypad; there are run, remote, and fault LED status indicators on this HMI and the LCD display also shows indicators for run, stop, ready, alarm, fault, direction, I/O terminal control, keypad control, and bus control. This HMI features a Startup Wizard option that guides the operator through the basic setup for fast commissioning at the module’s power up. This device is packed in a NEMA 1(IP21) protected housing with dimensions of 190 x 630 x 257 millimeters (7.5 x 25.8 x 10.1 inches). The drive weighs approximately 35 kilograms (77.2 pounds) and its permitted ambient working temperature is between -10 and 50 degrees Celsius.
