The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-00583-00 PanelMate Compact CRT Terminal is a rugged operator interface terminal with a CRT display and keypad control that is designed for being a low-cost interface solution for a wide range of industrial-based applications. The 92-00583-00 operator interface has a nominal voltage rating of 120 to 230 Volts AC (at 50 to 60 Hertz) which utilizes auto-sensing techniques for automatically adjusting the input voltage. It has a total power dissipation of 80 Watts and an operating current rating of 1 Amp (nominal). The 92-00583-00 interface features a 14-inch color LCD graphics screen in 8-bit 256 color images and 640 x 480 pixels (VGA) standard resolution. This display also features a 0.28-millimeter dot pitch rating and a 31.5 kilohertz scan frequency. This terminal has 5 control buttons and a separate numerical keypad for operator input.

All PanelMate Plus(IDT) interfaces come with internal flash memory for program, fonts, and message storage, and they also come with battery-backed real-time clocks. The 92-00583-00 interface operator comes with 2 serial communication ports (known as Ports 1 and 2), and it supports a PLC interface card use. The 92-00583-00 interface’s Serial Port 1 can be configured for RS232, RS422, or 485-2 signal levels, and it can also be used for connecting to a printer, communication with a PLC or a Host device (2 controllers maximum), or establishing a connection to a personal computer for the downloading and uploading of applications by using the PanelMate PC Runtime Software. The 92-00583-00 interface also supports a wide range of industrial networks, including the Modicon Modbus Plus communication, Allen-Bradley Data Highway communication, Remote I/O, DeviceNet, and Profibus DP communication networks.
