The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-00598-04 Modicon PanelMate Plus 4000 keypad terminal is a color CRT operator interface device designed to provide a low-cost interface solution to a wide range of PLC-based applications. The 92-00598-04 operator interface terminal has an auto-sensing single-phase AC input with a 110 to 230 Volts AC voltage rating at 50 to 60 Hertz and an operating range of -15% to 10% of the rated input. It has an operating current rating of 2 Amps and a total power rating of 85 Volts-Amps (VA). This device has a “Fault Relay Output” on its rear side with a resistive load rating of 2 Amps at 28 Volts DC or 230 Volts AC, and it also has a removable audio output port and a 2-terminal security keyswitch input.

The 92-00598-04 operator interface terminal comes with 2 Serial communication ports as standard features. These ports are pre-configured for the RS-485-2, RS-422, and RS-232 signal levels, and they can be used for communicating with PLCs (host controllers), with a printer port, or for connecting with a personal computer for downloading applications via Windows-based configuration software. Other standard features include a lithium battery-backed real-time clock, and internal flash memory for program storage, fonts, and messages storage. By using a "one-time-use" diskette option, this terminal can upload/download configuration parameters to a personal computer (PC) and it can communicate with a Modicon PLC via the Modbus network and with Allen-Bradley SLC controllers via the Allen-Bradley PLC network. The 92-00598-04 operator interface terminal provides a graphical display of application processes via a 14-inch CRT display screen, and it provides operator input via a 4-button control and numerical keypad.
