A keypad is also available on the terminal and it can be used for operator input. The 92-01793-02 terminal is rated for 24 Volts DC input voltage. Two serial ports are available on the terminal, and they are Serial Port 1 which can be used for RS-232 and RS-422/485 serial links and Serial Port 2 which can be used for only RS-232 serial links. Both serial ports have RJ-11 physical interfaces. Serial Port 1 has 2 RJ-11 interfaces: one for RS-232 links and the other for RS-422/485 links. Serial Port 2 has a single RJ-11 interface. When the package containing the terminal is received, it should be inspected to ensure that none of the equipment is damaged. In case equipment has been damaged during transportation, it should be returned to the manufacturer.

It is advisable to test the 92-01793-02 interface terminal before it is installed, and testing involves powering up the terminal and running the system diagnostics. The 92-01793-02 terminal is designed for mounting inside an industrial enclosure. Enough free space should be provided around the terminal to allow for air flow to aid in the system cooling process. Minimal maintenance is required for the terminal. A non-abrasive cleaning product should be used to clean the face of the unit when required. All the system health tests should be run every 3 to 6 months. If the terminal is installed in a dusty environment, forced air should be used to blow off the dust that has accumulated on the circuit boards. The terminal power should be disconnected before this procedure is performed.
