The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-01798-03 interface is an operator interface with a touchscreen that is designed and manufactured with the industrial machine users in mind. It is a heavy-duty Human-Machine Interface (HMI) that is capable of withstanding heavy use in adverse environmental conditions such as high levels of humidity, high levels of electromagnetic noise, high levels of interference, and direct contact with oil, grease, dirt and other contaminants on the touchscreen. The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-01798-03 industrial operator interface needs to be fed power from a 24 Volts DC power supply, it needs a current rating of 0.5 Amps, and it needs an estimated power rating of 12 Watts. It comes inside a metal casing with an open type construction in order to maximize air circulation for cooling the processor and power source circuits during operation, and with a glass screen with a plastic edge that provides hermetic isolation when the interface is properly mounted.
In order to power up the Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-01798-03 industrial operator interface, the green plastic connector located at the lower back of the unit must be plugged into the power source cables. There are 2 possible operation modes for the HMI, and they are the offline mode and the run mode. By default, the Eaton Cutler-Hammer 92-01798-03 industrial operator interface will start in the offline mode unless a power interruption has happened while the HMI was in the run mode. All the necessary customizations to get the operator interface running can be made in the offline mode. The HMI diagnostics, data transfer modes (serial transfer or network transfer) touchscreen calibration, and settings configurations are made in the offline mode, while the operation of the industrial applications is done from the run mode.
