The 7500XE Operator Interface is a screenless human-machine interface module made by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. It offers device connectivity, industrial operator capabilities, and enterprise-wide integration support. This device is an alternative to PC-based implementation with an embedded Microsoft operating system, an incorporated Ethernet interface, and OPC support. The 7500XE Operator Interface has the capability to connect the different kinds of external displays such as flat-panel touchscreen displays. Its solid-state memory technology ensures that it will be less affected by vibration, shock, and temperature variations than other drives. As a safety feature, this ePro operator interface handles power failures and irregular shutdowns without harming its configuration and this reduces the downtime and the costs.
The 7500XE Operator Interface supports up to 32 devices over multiple network interfaces. Some of the features of this device include solid-state memory, built-in diagnostic messages, a battery blacked clock/calendar, and multiple password protection levels. The overall dimensions of this model are 6.31 x 10.51 x 5.25 inches and the weight is 7 pounds. It also supports a wide variety of industrial serial drives and automation devices such as the Modbus ASCII, Cutler-Hammer D50/D32LT/D320, Omron Hostlink Serial, Reliance Serial, and Allen-Bradley Serial drives. This operator interface can be used in space-saving installations where a separate display unit is used to eliminate the limitations of the integrated display unit. It is made of steel for panel mounting and fortified with zinc chromate plating to withstand the harsh industrial environment. The 7500XE Operator Interface has an expansion slot for optional communication interfaces. It is ideal for applications that require display connecting flexibility. Its communication capabilities and memory capacity support a wide range of industrial applications.
