This Culter-Hammer by Eaton is an HIM interface. The 7600 is a blind node module, meaning that does not have a display. A blind node module such as this one is generally used for applications that already use external displays. Since this module does not have a display screen, it instead contains a membrane keypad. The 7600 Eaton module can be panel mounted. It should be wired for ground lead and power connections using copper wire, no larger or smaller than 0.82 millimeters squared (18 AWG). A serial connection such as COM2 or RS232 can be used to communicate with a PLC or a controller. Some other communication options are an Ethernet Connection or an Interface Card. This PanelMate ePro PS module uses the Canvas editing software for configuration. All ePro modules have standard fast Ethernet functionalities to allow for communication and transfer of data.

The 7600 Eaten module has an embedded Windows NT operating system, which allows elimination of unnecessary features, a USB port, a VGA port, and a half-sized slot, meant for certain authorized ISA cards (including a Square D Modbud Plus, an SST PROFIBUS DP, and an SST ControlNet). To install one of these cards, first disconnect the module from any power source. The back of the PanelMate ePro unit can be removed with a screwdriver, as can the screw that secures the card slot cover. After installing the card into the unit, securely replace all covers and screws.
