7685ST-12C

The 7685ST-12C is an operator interface panel manufactured by Eaton. It is a part of the PanelMate® ePro PS Family of operator interfaces, featuring a 12 inch TFT display with integrated color display in a stainless steel body. The screen, of the resistive type, is touch-enabled for effortless operator input. The device is powered by DC supply in the range of 16 to 30 Volts and has inrush peak current in the range of 7 to 8 Amperes. It also features RS-232, 422 and 485 communication ports apart from a VGA port, an Ethernet port, and four USB 2.0 ports. For additional data storage and transfer, a removable Compact Flash slot and a PCMCIA slot are also provided. This hybrid operator interface system has an embedded Microsoft Windows XPE® operating system for smooth and reliable functions.  Additionally, the 7685ST-12C operator interface has a built-in Protect Mode feature that keeps safe all the necessary files in your operating system by preventing them from modifications or deletion.

The 7685ST-12C can be used as an efficient and cost-effective replacement for many hard-wired operating devices, push-button devices, indicators, etc., or in general to control a machine while providing SCADA functions like data acquisition and storage. To power and ground the 7685ST-12C,  like other ePro PS family of devices, use 0.82 millimeter2 copper lead connections and an isolated 4 Ampere, 24 Volts power supply; this leads to a maximum power consumption of 54 Watts. The 7685ST-12C comes with a pre-installed PanelMate PC Runtime software for hassle-free installation and initial operation. To prepare the interface device for online plant operation, it is essential to install or download the OPC drivers which will help execute any Canvas application. The Canvas Runtime Software is used to create any end-user interface application for operation of a machine or device. After installation, to communicate the 7685ST-12C interface device with a PLC or controller, a user should use either a serial connection or the Ethernet port, or an interface card.
