7685ST-15

The 7685ST-15 is an operator interface with color thin-film transistor or TFT LCD display that features a resistive touchscreen for user input. It is part of the PanelMate ePro PS Family manufactured by Eaton. This cost-effective and high-performance 15-inch model is framed by a durable stainless steel bezel. It runs on the streamlined Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system, making the 7685ST-15 compatible with virtually all third-party software packages. This module is configured using the Canvas editing software that supports a modern suite of graphics templates to replace hardwired panel devices like bars, indicator lights, pushbuttons, message displays, readouts, and more. Both are protected by the unit’s exclusive Protect Mode.

The 7685ST-15 Operator Interface offers the efficiency and flexibility of PC based displays on the plant floor without the complexity of a PC. It can be adapted for a range of applications and user requirements with its integrated high-speed Ethernet, USB ports, serial ports, PCMCIA slots, and removable CompactFlash. The V2.0 compliant USB ports are built to operate independently so slow data rate devices like mouse and keyboard will run at V1.1 speeds without affecting the speed of V2.0 peripherals on other ports. These USB ports are ideal for corrective maintenance use only, and not for permanent connections. Every device connected to this Operator Interface should have a consumption less than the maximum of 5 Watts in order to keep the operating temperature of the ePro PS unit within the recommended range.

The 7685ST-15 ePro PS Unit is designed to operate at 24 Volts DC, requiring an isolated 4.0 Amp 24 Volt power source or supply. Its connector receptacle accepts the removable three-position DC power connector that ships with the unit. It has a maximum current of 2.25 A, a peak inrush current of 8 A, and a maximum power of 54 Watts. If installed in an environment with poor power quality, additional power conditioning may be necessary.
