This electronic product is part of the PanelMate ePro PS series that provides machine and process control as well as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) functions including historization and data archiving, recipe management and remote viewing via a standard internet browser.

The 7685T-12 features a 12.1-inch display that supports 16.7 million colors with native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels in SVGA format. It has a luminance of 300 nits and installed with a backlight that is capable of being operated up to 50,000 hours. It also features auto-dimming which can be utilized to lengthen the operation lifetime of the backlight.

The 7685T-12 Human Machine Interface features a resistive touch input interface, ideally operated with a gloved finger. The HMI may also be configured to launch pop-up templates as well as an on-screen keyboard.

It has a variety of interfaces used for connection of external peripherals and communication with controllers. Peripheral inputs include One (1) Video out (VGA), and Four (4) USB ports used for connecting monitors, and USB devices such as mouse, keyboard, printers, flash drive and similar devices. Communication interface includes One (1) RS232, One (1) RS232/422.485 combo port and One (1) Ethernet communication port.

The ePro PS family of products is configured with the Canvas editing software which supports a suite of graphical templates called controls for replacing hardwired panel devices such as pushbuttons, indicator lights, bars, readouts, message displays, etc. In addition to a PanelMate ePro PS display unit, the package comes with an accessory kit that includes the following: one panel mounting hardware kit, one 3-pin power connector, one PanelMate ePro PS support CD, and three spare jumpers used to configure serial ports. The 7685T-12 requires 24V DC power at 1.5 A. Use of #18 AWG (0.82 mm2) copper wire is recommended for the power and the ground lead connections. The display is a resistive touchscreen that supports 16 million colors. The supported resolution is SVGA (800 x 600) and the brightness of the display is 450 nits. The backlight is replaceable and has a typical life of 50,000 hours. It can auto-dim. The 7685T-12’s system memory includes 512MB of DDR2 RAM with 1GB of internal CompactFlash memory (C and D drive). A CompactFlash slot is available in the unit. The 7685T-12 must be powered off before the CompactFlash memory card is removed or inserted (hot-swapping is not supported). Failure to do so may damage the CompactFlash memory card and/or processor board. The 7685T-12 PanelMate ePro PS uses Windows XPE, which is a subset of Windows XP Professional. The XPE system enables the PanelMate ePro PS unit’s operating system (OS) to be customized by eliminating unneeded operating system components. The result is a smaller, more streamlined, and more efficient machine. PCMCIA slots which support up to 2 Type II cards or 1 Type III card are available. Before PCMCIA cards are hot-swapped, make sure that the card supports hot-swapping.
