7685T-12C

The 7685T-12C is a part of the PanelMate® ePro PS Family of operator interfaces, manufactured by the Cutler Hammer division of Eaton. It has a 12 inch TFT screen with an integrated color display. This resistive type screen is touch-enabled to easily input data or information; a DC supply in the range of 16 to 30 Volts is required to power the device. While operation, it has inrush peak current of 7 to 8 Amperes, with a number of ports available for communication, including RS-232, 422 and 485 ports. In addition, the 7685T-12C has a single (1) Ethernet port, four (4) USB 2.0 ports, and one (1) VGA port. It also features a removable Compact Flash slot and a PCMCIA slot for efficient data storage and transfer. To ensure hassle-free operation, this hybrid operator interface system is provided with the Microsoft Windows XPE® operating system embedded into it.  Moreover, to safeguard the important files in the C:// drive and keep them from being modified or deleted, this device offers an inbuilt Protect Mode feature.

For complete and efficient replacement of many hard-wired devices, pushbuttons, indicators, and more, or for controlling a machine, the 7685T-12C interface can be used. The device can also provide SCADA functions like data acquisition and storage. In order to power and ground the device, like the other ePro PS family of devices, a user must use copper lead connections of 0.82 millimeters 2 and an isolated 24 Volt power supply with a current rating of 4 A. This leads to a 54 Watt maximum power consumption. A pre-installed PanelMate PC Runtime software for easy installation and initial operation is also provided.

OPC drivers, which help in Canvas application execution, must be downloaded and installed on the 7685T-12C to run an application. To generate end-user interface applications, the Canvas Runtime Software should be used. After installation of the 7685T-12C, use a serial connection, the Ethernet port, or an interface card to communicate with a PLC or another controller.
