The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 7685T-15C PanelMate ePro PS device is an efficient but economical operator interface (OI) device. The 7685T-15 is an easy-to-use device that sets the standard for hybrid OI devices that combine the Microsoft Windows® XP Embedded OS with solid-state hardware design and a proprietary Protect Mode ™ protection for the software for maximum flexibility, stability, and reliability. In other words, the 7685T-15  EPro PS Operator Interface provides all the advantages of a PC-based operator interface without the complexity of a system made of a PC connected to the PC base. It can be adapted to several user requirements with PS models, high-speed Ethernet, serial ports, USB ports, and with removable CompactFlash® and PCMCIA slots. The 7685T-15 EPro PS device uses the Canvas® editing software. This software supports a state-of-the-art set of graphics templates and controls that locate wired panel devices such as push buttons, indicator lights, bars, readouts, and message screens. The 7685T-15 and the rest of the ePro PS product family combine form with functionally, whether with the wired pilot devices and push buttons, or whether with direct machine control.

The 7685T-15 PanelMate ePro PS is an OD (Outdoor) operator interface that is designed for outdoor use. For this purpose, OD models provide more visibility as well as UV resistance. Reflective films behind the screen also include an integrated color display with anti-reflective, anti-glare, and anti-UV coatings on the front of the display. The 7685T-15 and other PanelMate ePro PS display models made for outdoor applications provide superior outdoor visibility without needing active heat-generating components to meet the high-temperature requirements of OD models. For applications that require an external display, there is a Blind Node (no display) model available. All of the screen models have a resistive touch screen for operator input.
