This operator interface panel, manufactured by Eaton, is a member of the Cutler-Hammer T PanelMate ePro PS family. The 7685T-8 operator interface features an 8.4-inch color TFT display with 16 million colors; it has a VGA resolution of 640 x 480, a brightness of 300 nits, and a field replaceable backlight with a typical life of 50,000 hours. It has a resistive touchscreen interface with a pop-up on-screen alphanumeric keypad support for operator entry. The 7685T-8 has multiple ports which include one (1) Integrated Ethernet port, two (2) Serial ports (one RS-232, 1 optically isolated RS-232/422/485), four (4) USB ports, one (1) CF memory card slot, 2 PCMCIA Type II slots (or 1 Type III) and Built-in OPC Client/Server support. This module has a wide selection of both proprietary and open network interfaces from DeviceNet and PROFIBUS to Data Highway Plus, ControlNet and Modbus Plus with PCMCIA and PCI availability,

The 7685T-8 can be used in various domains, such as  Central and remote water and wastewater control panels, oil platform monitoring and control in the petroleum industry, and many more. The 7685T-8 measures 7.63 (H) × 10.51 (W) × 3.90 (D) inches (194 × 267 × 99 millimeters) and weighs 7.0 pounds (3.18 kilograms). It requires an operating voltage of 24 Volts DC and consumes 28 Watts of power. A clearance space of 4 inches at its minimum is recommended for the enclosure, as the 7685T-8 can operate at a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, with a maximum heat output of 31 Watts. Filtered fans, air conditioners, or heat exchangers are recommended to maintain the temperature inside the enclosure. The 7685T-8 has CSA Class I Div 2 Groups A, B, C, D, UL, cUL, CE Mark with NEMAT 4, 4X, 12, and IP65 ratings when installing it in an appropriately rated enclosure.
