The IC660BBA023 Thermocouple Block is a 24 to 48 Volts DC rated 6-channel thermocouple input block designed by GE Fanuc. It puts out a maximum of 9 Watts of heat dissipation during operation. The voltage rating of the power supply is 24 to 48 Volts DC and it has 10% maximum ripple with 10 milliseconds of power supply dropout time. The 6 input circuits on this block are divided into 3 groups and each group consists of a thermocouple input circuit and a remote cold junction compensation input. The input voltage measurement range on the IC660BBA023 Thermocouple Input Block is -25 mV to 150 mV and the accuracy of the input channels at 25 degrees Celsius is 8 Hertz.        

 

The IC660BBA023 Thermocouple Block responses to the open wire detection in less than 5 seconds. It also has 2 seconds of typical input update time and 3 seconds of maximum update time. The internal cold junction inputs measure 0 to 60 degrees Celsius of temperature range with less than +/- 0.01 degree Celsius of resolution and +/- 0.1 degree Celsius of accuracy. The processor of the module has the responsibility to convert cold junction temperature values into voltage values. It is compatible to use with the GE IC697 series PLCs if the CPU of the module is an IC697CPU731, an IC697CPU771, or a later version, and if the programming software is version 2.02 or later. During installation, make sure to allow adequate airflow for air-cooling. The ambient operating temperature rainge of the module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity range is 5% to 95%. The 24 to 48 Volts DC power supply can be connected to Terminals 5 and 6 of the IC660BBA023 Thermocouple Block.
