The IC660BBA026 belongs to the Genius I/O of stand-alone Block modules. It is manufactured currently by Emerson Automation as GE Fanuc automation has been acquired by the former. The IC660BBA026 retained its features, built with Six (6) analog input channels that support current sourcing wiring and comes with resolution of 6µA. Being a part of the Genius I/O block system, the IC660BBA026 is provided with embedded Genius Bus communication interface, enabling the module to independently function as a complete remote I/O module, able to send and receive I/O data to the master controller by its own configuration. It has a rackless design, eliminating the need of using a backplane or chassis, providing maximum flexibility to available installation methods. This I/O block can be installed right side up or upside down, within an enclosure that provided protection against airborne, industrial contaminants. The IC660BBA026 can be configured to be connected to a multi-drop network of the same. If used with multiple instances of this module or of the same product family, the IC660BBA026 must be separated 2 inches apart. Additionally, terminating resistors must be installed to the first and last node, across terminals Serial 1 and Serial 2. The IC660BBA026 input channels does not require calibration for operation. It comes with software configurable diagnostics and. These diagnostics include low and high alarm reporting, overrange and underrange detection, open wire detection and internal fault reporting. This module is also provided with software selected input conversion time ranging from 16.6 ms to 400 ms.

The IC660BBA026 Current-Source Input Block is a 6-input analog current source block from GE Fanuc. It can be used to interface with devices that put out 4 to 20 milliamps of analog signal current. A Phase B hand-held monitor can be used to configure the module easily. Its voltage to frequency converter feature provides a digital signal based on the analog current that is received. The users have the facilities to set upper and lower alarm limits to the individual input circuits. And the input circuits consist of 24 Volts rated current loops that can provide 25 milliamps of current. The IC660BBA026 Current-Source Input Block has a hand-held monitor that prompts alarm limits and diagnostics errors. It also has the facilities to clear old fault messages from the monitor. The IC660BBA026 Current-Source Input Block is also compatible with redundancy PLC systems, Series 90-30 PLCs, Series 6 PLCs, and Series 5 PLCs. Its diagnostic features report input current levels that are below 2 milliamps. The typical thermal drift of the module is 70 PPM per degree Celsius. During installation, make sure to leave 2 or more inches of space between blocks to allow for proper cooling. The block can be mounted upside down or right side up by drilling the appropriate bolt holes. A separate mounting kit with accessories is also shipped with the IC660BBA06 module. The ground terminal known as Terminal 5 which is connected to block chassis can be used for block safety. The source of the 115 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC power source must be connected into the H Terminal of the block and the neutral must be connected to the N Terminal.
