The GE Fanuc IC660CBB903 Series 6 PLC Bus Controller is a Phase B bus controller that is built for the GE Series 6 PLC system. The IC660CBB903 Bus Controller interfaces the Series 6 Plus PLCs to a serial bus (Genius I/O). The IC660CBB903 Bus Controller handles all of the data transfers between the PLC and the devices on the bus. The IC660CBB903 Bus Controller can be installed in any CPU I/O slots or in a local high-capacity I/O rack that is located 600 meters (2000 feet) from the PLC CPU ir in a remote I/O rack with a CPU scan rate greater than 10 milliseconds. The number of bus controllers that can be used in any PLC system is only limited by the I/O capacity of the CPU used in that system.

The IC660CBB903 Bus Controller can connect up to 31 I/O devices (including Genius I/O blocks, handheld monitors, and interface devices) to the Series 6 PLC CPU over a maximum distance of 2000 feet (600 meters) from the CPU. Unlike the IC66OCBB902 Bus Controller, the IC660CBB903 Bus Controller does not have integrated diagnostic features and diagnostics information from the blocks is readily accessible from the handheld monitor. The IC66OCBB902 Bus Controller is a Phase B bus controller with enhanced features that makes it suitable for a bus with baud rates other than the standard 153.6 Kilobaud rate. The IC66OCBB903 Bus Controller is also suitable for a bus that includes RTD blocks or any Genius I/O blocks that support over 64 input bits and 64 output bits.
