The ES1201R display is a monochrome display with a touchscreen and GE Fanuc manufactures it. The ES1201R display is classified under the GE Fanuc quick panel series and it comes with the Proficy view-machine edition software. It features the HMI-CAB-CS20 communication cable type and the display color is monochrome. The unit features a 12-inch display size and it comes with the touchscreen input type. The ES1201R display features various memory types that satisfy the most demanding applications. It comes with a 32 MB section DRAM unit. The DRAM unit is split between the operating software, the object store, and the application memory. Another 32 MB is split between the non-volatile FLASH memory that functions as the display’s virtual hard drive. The 12-inch monochrome display is usually shipped ready for use and requires just a few configurations to start it up.
The ES1201R display begins initialization once power is applied to the screen. The ES1201R display retains the program's data in the FLASH memory with the user data retained in the SRAM, which is a battery-backed memory. Therefore, in the case of an unexpected power loss, or an unplanned power loss, there are no specific dangers to the users. With user intervention, the operating system settings are retained. To ensure the proper functioning of the ES1201R display, it is required that the users carry out restart processes, especially after changing the unit’s control panel settings. In addition, the users should restart the unit immediately after running a backup and before they have disconnected the power. The restarts will allow all the changes to be written to the flash memory.
