The General Electric (GE) ES1222 QuickPanel View terminal is a highly advanced and multifunctional device designed to provide visualization, control, and I/O options for even the most demanding industrial automation systems. The ES1222 terminal helps to integrate control, visualization, communication, and other I/O options into 1 compact control platform for improved real-time control, application flexibility, and a high level of performance. The ES1222 terminal has a DC power source with 24 Volts DC operating voltage, and a real power output of 48 Watts. It has a high-speed Intel processor, and it comes with a Microsoft CE.NET operating system, which provides a graphical user interface for simplified application developments, thus reducing the operator’s learning time. The ES1222 terminal has 64 Megabyte standard processor-tied flash memory that serves as the device’ long-term memory storage of the user application programs and storage of the Windows CE operating system. The device memory can be expanded to up to 128 Megabytes via a memory expansion slot, and it also supports the Compact flashcard for secondary flash memory. The ES1222 terminal provides a visual interface through it 12-inch Thin-Film-Transistor (TFT) LCD screen with 800 x 600 Pixel resolution and a Cold Cathode Fluorescent backlight with 50,000 hours of half-life. The operators can enter data, control operations, and configure applications via an on-screen keyboard on the terminal’s resistive touchscreen surface or use an optional external keyboard. It has 2 Ethernet ports, a standard serial communication port, 2 USB ports, and 1 Field Bus slot. The ES1222 terminal has a protective front panel bezel and a membrane cover that protects the resistive touchscreen display. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and it can be used in a non-condensing 10 to 90% relative humidity range. The ES1222 terminal has an average shipping weight of 2.5 pounds, and total enclosure dimensions of 8.9 x 11.9 x 2.4 inches.

The ES1222 or IC754CSF12CTD It primarily features a 12” inch colored Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display screen with size of 30.5 cm and resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. It supports up to 32,768 colors or 15 bits/pixel. The operator is provided with a 12-bit, resistive touch input interface wherein 800 cells installed horizontally and 600 cells horizontally. It is equipped with an Xscale processor with processing speed of 400 MHz.

The embedded memory of the ES1222 is 64MB Flash and 64MB DRAM. It has a pre0installed Windows Compact Embedded (CE) 32-bit operating system. It provides a Windows similar environment despite being a streamlined operating system. This allows user to easily familiarize the configuration and maintenance environment of the operator panel. It also supports WIndows pocket explorer allowing connection to the internet, enabling FTP capability and remote viewing using an internet explorer.

The ES1222 has One (1) RS232 / RS485 combo port, One (1) RS232 dedicated port, Two (2) Ethernet ports which supports 10/100 MBps communication speed with auto-negotiation capability. Two (2) USB peripheral port. It is powered by an external DC supply range of 9.6-28.8 VDC.
