The GE (General Electric) IC754OBF12CTD from the GE QuickPanel product line is an operator terminal used for interface with the machine. The terminal weighs approximately 5.2 lbs (2.36 kg) and is 8.93 inches (226.8 millimeters) high, 11.85 inches (301.1 millimeters) wide and 2.37 inches (60.1 millimeters) deep. The bezel, on the other hand, is somewhat larger – 10.34 inches (262.6 millimeters) high, 13.26 inches (336.8 millimeters) wide and 0.38 inches (9.7 millimeters) deep. The terminal requires an input voltage of 12 or 24 Volts DC but has a tolerance for a power dip of +/- 30% of the nominal input voltage. This QuickPanel View has a 12 inch (30.5 centimeter) TFT display which supports an 800 by 600 resolution and 16-bit per pixel showing 65,536 colors. The flat-panel display also has a CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent) backlight which has a half-life of approximately 50,000 hours. The backlight cannot be replaced on the field, but its life can be extended by turning it off automatically. The bezel is made of Valox 3706, and the LED has an indicator at the bottom showing power. The 12-bit resistive touchscreen is used for information input. The IC754OBF12CTD runs Proficy View-Machine Edition Software on XScale processor. This device enables the user to connect with the machine using communication ports RS232 and RS485 with an HMI-CAB-C94 cable. The IC754OBF12CTD has 64 MB of internal flash memory and 512 KB of SRAM which is backed by BR2032 Panasonic 3V lithium batteries.
