The IC754VSI06MTD General Electric GE QuickPanel is an operator panel that allows the users to interface with their machine in a simple way. This operator terminal has a monochrome display and a 6-inch display size. This QuickPanel makes it possible for the user to perform connections while using the RS485 and RS232 communication ports with an HMI-CAB-C120 communication cable. Through this is an operator terminal, the user can input information and data while controlling the HMI by using the touchscreen. This unit has an input power of 12 to 30 Volts DC. The IC754VSI06MTD has 32 MB of internal memory. This HMI exhibits the Proficiency View Machine Edition software type.
Depending on the model, the IC754VSI06MTD QuickPanel View terminal can have a monochrome display as stated in the previous paragraph or it can have an integrated flat-panel color model. The color model uses passive STN technology, it is backlit, and it measures 5.7 inches diagonally. This model has a backlight timer. The backlight life can be extended by automatically turning off the backlight. The user needs to activate the touchscreen before using it. Even though users can activate it with their fingers, the most recommended tool for activation is a blunt stylus. The IC754VSI06MTD QuickPanel View terminal can also be configured so that it can also use a software emulation keyboard as an operator data input device. The soft input panel that it has can be used in place of a hardware keyboard because it is a touchscreen version of a standard keyboard. An icon that is located on the system tray allows the user to hide or view the SIP. The following steps can be followed to display the soft input panel icon in the system tray; the input panel in the control panel should be double-tapped. To change the input panel state check box, the user has to select the allowed applications by selecting or clearing the show input panel in system tray box, tapping “okay,” and lastly by running the backup to save the settings.
