The IC694MDL260 is a PACSystem RX3i compatible module. It is specifically a high-density discrete input module that support positive logic wiring. It comes with Thirty-Two (32) input channels composed of Four (4) input groups of Eight (8) channels each. Each group are individually group however, each group uses same common reference therefore, failure of the common reference will render the group unusable with other groups operating normally. Like any other discrete input module, the IC694MDL260 accommodates field devices with On and Off operating modes only, sometimes referred to as Binary or Digital. Compatible devices that may be interface to this module includes all types of switches, proximity sensors and auxiliary contacts of contactors, overload relays and similar devices. The IC694MDL260 input channels operate at input Voltage range of 0-132 VAC, 47-63 Hz with nominal voltage of 120 VAC. With group isolation, each group can be operated with different voltage frequencies and voltage levels, within the acceptable range of the module specified by the On state voltage range of 70-132 VAC and Off-state Voltage range of 0-20 VAC. Additionally, this module has minimum On-state current of 5 mA and maximum Off-state current of 2.5 mA. The IC694MDL260 discrete input module has group to group continuous isolation rating of 264 VAC and 1500 VAC isolation rating for One (1) minute. It has capable of detecting terminal block presence and reports this to the RX3i host controller. The module draws an input current of 220 mA @ 5VDC bus voltage when all inputs are activated.
The IC694MDL260 input module is manufactured by GE Fanuc and it operates with a voltage of 120 Volts. The input module has 32 input points and it is compatible with the RX3i PacSystem PLC system. The IC694MDL260 input module needs a terminal block for operation for both standard bases and expansion bases. The 32 input points of the module are arranged in 4 groups of 8 with 4 isolated input points in each group. All 4 input groups are isolated, but the inputs are all made for supporting common connections. The IC694MDL260 input module has a DIP switch on the rear side that can also be used to change the input filter time when it is in the leftmost position. The field to backplane isolation of the module is 264 Volts AC, and the maximum isolation voltage is 1500 volts AC for 1 minute. The input filter time of the module ranges between 20 milliseconds and 2540 milliseconds in 20 milliseconds increment time. The on-state input voltage of the module ranges between 70 and 132 Volts AC, and the off-state voltage ranges between 0 and 20 Volts AC. The on/off response time reaches 840 milliseconds maximum. The IC694MDL260 input module should be operated at a temperature range between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius. During the system operation process, the input filter time can be modified by using a controller with the assigned memory. The new setting is equal to the new time value divided by 20.
