The IC695ACC302 is a PACSystem RX3i component. This is an Auxiliary Smart Battery Module that is used to provide an extended Random Access Memory (RAM). It helps maintain the contents of the RAM memory and prevents deletion of downloaded user program and parameters. This battery is connected to the battery terminals located in the front panel of the CPU. The IC695ACC302 is made of 3 cells of Lithium (Li) battery with approximate weight of 5.1 grams, specifically 1.7 grams/cell. It has battery capacity of 15 Ampere-hours with black, flame retardant ABS plasting casing. This battery can be used with PACSystem RX3i IC695CPU310, IC695CMU310 with a total battery life of 200 days; PACSystem RX7i IC698CPE010, IC698CPE020, IC698CRE020 for 175 days and PACSystem RX3i IC695CPU320/CRU320 IC695CPU315 for 23 days. When the battery is in good state, the IC695ACC302 provides 185 days of backup and 15 days if in low state when used with IC695CPU310, IC695CMU310; 160 days and 15 days respectively if used with IC698CPE010, IC698CPE020, IC698CRE020 and 8 days and 15 days, respectively, when used with IC695CPU320/CRU320 IC695CPU315. The IC695ACC302 is provided with a 2.0’ (0.6 meter) twisted red/black wire measuring 22 AWG and insulation rating of 80degrees C, attached to a female 4-pin JAE connector while the connector assembly is composed of a 2" (50mm) twisted Red/Black 22AWG with 4-pin male to 2-pin female adapter cable. This assembly is directly compatible with PAC systems CPU. This battery has nominal shelf life of 7 years at storage temperature of 20 Degree Celsius.
The IC695ACC302 battery module is manufactured by GE Fanuc to be an auxiliary smart battery module for PLCs that are used with the GE Fanuc RX3i PacSystems series. This battery provides extended battery backup time and compatible for use with GE RX3i CPU modules. The GE IC695ACC302 auxiliary smart battery module is CE certified for use in industrial systems in the European Union. The GE Fanuc RX3i PacSystems IC695ACC302 auxiliary smart battery module is installed in the CPU that it is intended for by using an enabling adapter cable. The technicians connect the male 4-pin JAE connector on the one end of the adapter cable to the female 4-pin JAE connector on the IC695ACC302 auxiliary smart battery module and connect the other end of the enabling adapter cable to the CPU. The battery is enabled when the 4-pin connector is installed. If the IC695ACC302 auxiliary smart battery module is connected to the CPU when the CPU’s power is off, the battery will start to drain, and the manufacturer recommends preserving the battery life for as long as possible by installing the new battery when the CPU is powered on.
