IC695ECM850

The GE Fanuc IC695ECM850 module is an Ethernet communication module with 4 switched Ethernet ports. The IC695ECM850 module connects an IEC 61850 network to an RX3i PACsystems controller. This enables the controller to act as an IEC 61850 client devices and to communicate with IEC 61850 servers over the IEC 61850 protocol, which is a standard protocol for automation or electrical substations. The IC695ECM850 module supports 10/100/1000 Mbps copper, 100/1000 Mbps single-mode fiber, and 100/1000 Mbps multi-mode fiber connections. The IC695ECM850 module is compatible with RX3i CPUs that have firmware version 8.05 or higher including the CPE310, CPE305, CPU315, CPU320, and CRU320 CPUs. The IC695ECM850 module is also compatible with the Proficy Machine Edition 8.0 SIM7 software. At 3.3 Volts DC, with no SFP devices installed, the IC695ECM850 module draws 1.2 Amps of current, and it draws a maximum of 1.9 Amps of current when 2 SFP devices are installed. At 5 Volts DC, the maximum current draw is 1.1 Amps.

Two RF-45 ports and 2 SFP cages are available on the GE Fanuc IC695ECM850 module. The operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, which derates to 57 degrees Celsius if a 100 Mbps SFP is installed or if a copper SFP is installed which operates at 1 Gbps.  A mini USB connector is also provided on the module for connecting with a computer over a command line interface. The IC695ECM850 module supports one IP address and up to 5 MAC addresses. Supported network topologies include the star and linear topologies. Time synchronization over the SNTP protocol is also supported. Four IC695ECM850 modules can be supported by one RX3i CPU and all 4 modules must be installed in the main rack. The IC695ECM850 module is hot-swappable. An SD-card slot is also provided for accommodating different kinds of cards.
